Each body parts plays an important role in our body. Look at the labelled diagram below to understand more about the basic parts of thehuman body.

1.the head is at the top of the human body.

2.the human head consists of a fleshy outer portion which surrounds the bony skull.

4.the face is the anterior part of the head containing the eyes, nose, ears and mouth.

5.in mouth we see white teeth red tongue and pink lips.

6.the human head typically weights between 5 and 11 pounds (2.3 and 5.0 kg)

Our trunk (the human body for children’s learning)

1.The head is attached to the trunk by the neck.

2.The trunk includes the chest (in front), the back, the shoulders and the abdomen..

3.The internal organs which we cannot see, are the heart, the lungs, the stomach,the liver with the gall-bladder, the pancreas, the spleen, the kidneys and the small and large intestines (bowels).

Our lims (extremities)

1. The arms and legs are called the limbs. (the human body for children’s learning)

2. The upper extremity (arm) consists of the upper arm, the elbow, the forearm, the wrist and the hand with four fingers and one thumb.

3.The inner side of the hand is called the palm.The finger nails protect the finger tips.

4. The lower extremity (leg) is attached tothe pelvic girdle.

5. It is composed of the thigh, the knee with patella, the shin, the calf, the ankle and the foot.

6.Each foot has a heel, a sole and five toes.•

7.The movement of the body is produced by the expansion and contraction of the muscles.

you have five senses the five sense organs are your, eyes, nose, tongue, ears and skin the five senses are sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch.

1.Eyes (Sense of sight) the five sense organs and their functions

a good sense of sight is achieved by healthy eyes.

Eyes provide vision and the sense of sight to human beings, animals, birds, fishes, etc.

2.Nose (Sense of smell)👃 the five sense organs and their functions

The organ for the sense of smell is the nose.

Usually, animals have a stronger sense of smell than human beings. The nose is also an organ which helps us in the sense of taste. For example smell of flowers and smell of perfumes etc.

3.Ears (Sense of hearing)👂the five sense organs and their functions

The organ for the sense of hearing is ears.

Hearing or auditory perception is the ability to perceive sound by detecting vibrations,

For example, we hear music through earphones which are inserted into our ears.

4.Skin (Sense of tough)

The organ for the sense of touch is skin.

Skin is the largest organ as it is located throughout the human body.

Various receptors are used for different situations like pain,
temperature, pressure, etc.

For example, when we touch something hot like a hot cup
of tea or coffee, we instantly move our hands away from it.

5.Tongue (Sense of testing)

The organ for the sense of taste is the tongue.

The tongue has various receptors which can detect whether the item consumed is salty, sweet, bitter or sour.

The behind part of the tongue detects bitter taste, the frontmost part detects salty taste, the side part detects sour taste and the middle and front part detects sweet taste.
